Today was the final day on working on my Investigation Stage which were obviously the references/bibliography. In total I used seven resources which included two books and five internet resources. This was the best part of the Investigation Stage as it was the end of it.

Monday 25th November 2013

Today what I did on my Investigation Stage was work on the second last step of this criterion. I worked on my Design Specifications. The maximum number of specifications was eight and I made seven of them.

Today what I did on on my Investigation Stage was work on the part of Evaluation on Resources. On this part we are meant to evaluate our resources, in the sense that we state what resources we have used and say what were the pros and cons of them. I used a book and the internet.

Today what I did on my Investigation Stage was work on the final stage of my research which was the type of storage device you are going to make, and mine was a jewelry box. This part of research is called Product Analysis and this is where you find jewelry boxes and analyze them, and that is what I did.

Today what I did in my Investigation Stage was continue on my research, My third stage of research was on adhesives, so basically in simple words, wood glue. This is because unfortunately we are not allowed to use nails, screws or starches in our final product in any of the joints but only glue. So I only found three types of wood glue, unfortunately but it was quite detailed.

Today on the third day of my Investigation Stage I began working on the  second stage of my research which was Wood Joints. Some of them are Butt Joint, Halving Joint and Finger Joint and many more. This was very easy to research because I found about eight different types of joints in only one website and in addition to that, the website included diagrams for each joint.

Today was the second day of my Investigation Stage. Today what I did was that I began my research. I began researching on Wood Finishes and I found about six wooden finishes such as Waxing, Staining, 'Natural' Finishes, Penetrating Finish, Surface Coatings and Glazing and Toning. Apart from those six I also knew about varnishing which is the general wood finishing.
